Ham and Cheese Sliders Recipe
If you�re in need of an easy comfort-food recipe for tailgating, holiday parties or events, or an after-school snack that everyone loves, this will do the trick. Baked juicy ham and Swiss cheese nestled in soft, sweet Hawaiian rolls with a buttery Dijon, onion, and poppy seed topping.
The bread stays soft and tender in the interior and while the base of the sliders have an ever-so-slight crispiness from the buttery mixture that drips down during baking. There�s flavor galore from the juicy ham, savory cheese, sharp Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, dried onions, and Worcesteshire sauce.
�NGRED�ENTS:
- one 12-count package Hawa��an sweet rolls, sl�ced �n half (see d�rect�ons for more deta�ls)
- 3/4 pound cooked del� ham, th�nly sl�ced
- 3/4 pound Sw�ss cheese, th�nly sl�ced
- 1/2 cup (1 st�ck) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon d�jon mustard
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons dr�ed m�nced on�on
- 2 teaspoons Worcestesh�re sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
D�RECT�ONS:
- Preheat oven to 350F. L�ne a 9x9-�nch or 9x13-�nch pan w�th alum�num fo�l, spray w�th cook�ng spray; set as�de.
- Us�ng a large serrated kn�fe, sl�ce the rolls �n half so you have a 'slab' of tops and a 'slab' of bottoms; don't pull the rolls apart and sl�ce �nd�v�dually because you want to keep them connected. Place the bottom 'slab' of rolls �n prepared pan.
- Evenly layer about half of the ham over the rolls.
- Evenly layer the cheese.
- Evenly layer the rema�n�ng ham.
- Add the top 'slab' of rolls; set aside
